World Cup reporter deflects unwanted kiss during broadcast

Brazilian journalist Julia Guimaraes is speaking out against a World Cup fan’s “shameful” behavior, after he attempted to kiss her while filming a live report Sunday from Yekaterinburg, Russia.
As Senegal and Japan competed in a 2-2 draw, the SportTV reporter was approached by a bespectacled on-looker trying to peck her on the cheek, but she was able to quickly avoid his advances.
“It’s difficult to find words…Luckily, I never saw this happen in Brazil! Here, it’s happened twice already. Sad! Shameful!” Guimaraes tweeted in Portuguese in response to the now viral video.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Guimaraes isn’t the only female journalist who has experienced a controversial kiss at this year’s World Cup. A Russia soccer fan has since apologized for kissing and groping Colombian journalist Julieth Gonzalez on-air. She reportedly accepted his apology.
