Hume congratulates Carlson on becoming new 7 pm host
Over Twitter, Brit Hume called Tucker Carlson a 'terrific choice' to be the new host of Fox News' 7 pm hour - and viewers responded
Tucker Carlson is taking over as host of the 7:00 pm ET hour on FOX News Channel.
Carlson's primetime show will begin after the presidential election.
Brit Hume announced the news on "On the Record" Thursday night.
