Tina Turner's son arrested for crack cocaine possession

Ike Turner, Jr. was arrested and charged with crack cocaine possession after being pulled over by Texas authorities in May.
Tina Turner's son, whose biological mother is Lorraine Taylor with musician Ike Turner, was also charged with tampering with evidence, according to the police report.
Turner, whose full name is Izear Luster Turner Jr., has not yet posted $70,000 bail and is still detained.

The Alvin Police Department conducted a traffic stop at approximately 12:09 a.m. on Saturday, May 6 for a vehicle with an "equipment violation."

"A subsequent investigation led to the driver, Izear Luster Turner Jr. being arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance (crack cocaine) PG 1 F/3 and Tampering with Evidence F/3," the report said.
Authorities seized 1.7 grams of crack cocaine and less than a gram of methamphetamines.
His passenger, Jessica Salinas-Esquivel, was also charged with "Possession of a Controlled Substance (methamphetamine.)"

Turner Jr. also had an unrelated warrant listed on the police report.
Tina Turner died on May 24 in her home in Küsnacht, Switzerland, near Zurich, according to her manager. She was 83.

Tina was 17 years old when she met her first husband Ike, who helped launch her music career despite a tumultuous relationship. She was already a mother to her first child, Craig Hill, and had adopted Ike's children from a previous relationship, Ike Jr. and Michael.
Ike and Tina welcomed a son, Ronnie, in 1960. Ronnie died in December at the age of 62.
The "Proud Mary" singer sold more than 150 million records, was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice, and earned 8 Grammys throughout a career spanning six decades.
