Then/Now: The Cast of 'Freaks and Geeks'
The cult hit didn't last long on the air, but the stars went on to become some of the biggest names in comedy today.
- The Cast of 'Freaks and Geeks' The short-lived comedy about two groups of high school teens aired on NBC for a brief 12 episodes in 1999 and 2000 before it was cancelled. The show centered around Lindsay (Linda Cardellini) and her brother Sam (John Francis Daley) who were part of two very different groups in school - the freaks and the geeks. Although nobody knew it at the time, executive producer Judd Apatow, cast some faces who went on to become household names. Not to mention the fact that Apatow himself has become a celebrity name for movies like "Anchorman," "The 40-Year-Old Virgin" and "Knocked Up."
