After graduating from Harvard, Lithgow began his acting career on Broadway. The actor is perhaps best known for his starring role as alien leader Dr. Dick Solomon on ‘3rd Rock.’
Before the show, Lithgow appeared on stage, in TV shows, and in big films like ‘Harry and the Hendersons,’ ‘The Pelican Brief,’ and 'The World According to Garp.'
Lithgow, now 64, has earned multiple Tony and Emmy Awards in his career, as well as two Academy Award nominations. He has also recorded music and written poetry and short stories for children. Films since ‘3rd Rock’ include ‘Orange County,’ ‘Shrek,’ and ‘Kinsey.’
Lithgow often delivers commencement addresses and has been the face of Campbell’s Soup since 2006. This year, he portrayed the “Trinity killer" on Showtime series ‘Dexter’ and made a cameo on '30 Rock.’ He has been married twice and has three children.

Johnston got her start in films like ‘Grease’ and 'The Flintstones in Viva Rock Vegas' before landing the role of alien military expert turned human Sally Solomon.
Last year, the 42 year-old actress posed nude for PETA in support of NYC carriage horses’ rights.
In 2005, Johnston had an episode arc on ‘E.R.,’ appeared in ‘Strangers with Candy,’ and guested in the last episode of ‘Sex and the City.’
Recently, Johnston appeared in episodes of ‘Ugly Betty’ and ‘The New Adventures of Old Christine.’ She also acted in this year’s comedy ‘Bride Wars’ and does regular theater work.

Gordon-Levitt played an alien intelligence officer who takes the form of Dr. Solomon’s teenage son, Tommy.
The actor got his start in commercials and went on to appear in series like ‘Roseanne’ and movies like ‘A River Runs Through It’ before '3rd Rock.' During the show’s run, Gordon-Levitt starred in films like ’10 Things I Hate About You.’
Since the show, the former child actor has graduated from Colombia University and has found success in film.
Gordon-Levitt, now 28, has starred in movies like ‘Brick,’ ‘The Lookout,’ and ‘Stop-Loss’ in recent years, and will next be seen in ‘G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra.’ He was also in this year's critically acclaimed romantic comedy ‘(500) Days of Summer.’

Before portraying Dr. Mary Albright opposite the '3rd Rock' alien family, the ‘Saturday Night Live’ alum was known for films like ‘Coneheads’ (based on her most famous SNL skit), and her starring role on series ‘Kate and Allie’ (for which she won two Emmys).
Since ‘3rd Rock,’ Curtain has had a varied acting career. She starred in ABC sitcom ‘Crumbs’ in 2006 and has performed on Broadway quite a few times. The actress has narrated several audio books, including Carl Hiaason’s ‘Nature Girl’ and voiced a character in the animated film ‘Antz.’
In recent years, Curtin performed in ‘The Librarian’ series (at left) and appeared in this year’s comedy ‘I Love You, Man.’ Most recently, she guest starred on an episode of ‘Sherri.’
Curtin, now 62, is married with one daughter.
French got his start on ‘The New WKRP in Cincinnati’ before being cast as the Communicator, Sally and Dick’s brother, Harry. The actor met wife Katherine LaNasa when she appeared on ‘3rd Rock.’
Since the show, Stewart has appeared on TV shows like ‘Just Shoot Me!,’ ‘The Drew Carey Show,’ and ‘Charmed.’ He was an executive producer on Lifetime movie ‘Has Anyone Seen My Baby?’
Now 45, Stewart and his wife own and operate several zoos in Albuquerque. He will star in upcoming series ‘The Horrible Terrible Misadventures of David Atkins.’
