<b>Dennis Hopper</b> The actor first burst on to the scene opposite James Dean in the '50s in "Rebel Without a Cause" and "Giant." <b>Jimmy Dean</b> The creator of the everyone's favorite breakfast meat was actually an actor and a singer before launching Jimmy Dean Sausage Company in 1969.  Earlier this year, he was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame, but he died before the actual induction.  He was 81. <b>James Gammon</b> He has starred in countless TV shows, but the one he will always be remembered for is his role as Nick Bridges on the popular show, "Nash Bridges." He died of cancer on July 16. <b>Robert Culp</b> He starred alongside Bill Cosby in "I Spy" in the late '60s and then reunited with his co-star when he had a guest spot on "The Cosby Show" in 1987.  The 79-year-old actor suffered a fatal heart attack on March 24. <b>Corey Haim</b> Child star Corey Haim began acting when he was 10 years old, and by 15 he had already fallen victim to drugs and alcohol.  In the '80s he was considered one of the hottest young actors, but by the mid-90s his career had fallen into a downward tailspin due to his addictions. He attempted to clean himself up with rehab more than a dozen times, but on March 10 an accidental overdose took his life. <b>Eddie Fisher</b> You know you're really famous when you have two stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Eddie has one for his music and one for his acting.  The famous singer and actor died on Sept. 22 after breaking his hip. He was 82. <b>Jean Simmons</b> The English actress won several awards for her work in films.  In 1948, she won an Oscar for "Hamlet" and won her second Academy Award in 1969 for "The Happy Ending." <b>Gloria Stuart</b> The American actress had a career that spanned 80-plus years.  Audiences today remember her for portraying the 100-year-old Rose Dawson in 1997's "Titanic." She was nominated for an Oscar for that part.  Like Rose, the actress got to live to be 100 years old, and died in her sleep on Sept. 26. <b>James MacArthur</b> The "Hawaii Five-O" actor had been in the spotlight since his teen years.  Although he was semi-retired, he was in talks to make a guest appearance on the remake of the show that he put on the map. <b>Lena Horne</b> The singer and actress began appearing in movies and musicals in the '30s, but was blacklisted from Hollywood in the '50s due to her political views.  A movie about her life was in the works, with Janet Jackson depicting her, up until the Super Bowl wardrobe malfunction fiasco. <b>Gary Coleman</b> The "Diff'rent Strokes" actor began suffering from seizures in January, and in May reportedly had a seizure that caused him to fall down a flight of stairs and hit his head. <b>Lynn Redgrave</b> The actress, who won a Golden Globe for "Georgy Girl" in 1966, had several big parts during her nearly five decades in the spotlight.  In recent years, she made appearances on "Ugly Betty" and "Law &amp; Order: Criminal Intent." <b>Fess Parker </b> Fess is best known for his portrayal of Davy Crockett in the '50s and Daniel Boone in the '60s.  The actor, who was also a wine maker, died of natural causes on March 18. <b>Ronnie James Dio</b> The Heavy Metal singer was the one who replaced Ozzy Osbourne when he left Black Sabbath in 1979. He had previously been with Electric Elves and Rainbow.  He later branched out on his own.  In late 2009, the rocker was diagnosed with stomach cancer and a few months later, on May 16, he passed away at age 67. <b>Malcolm McLaren</b> He was the man responsible for introducing hip hop to the United Kingdom with the band Bow Wow Wow.  He also had his own solo music career in the '80s and '90s He died from mesothelioma on April 22. <b>Captain Beefheart</b> The California native was born Don Glen Vliet, before taking on his musical stage name, Captain Beefheart.  Over the years he performed as a solo artist and with several bands before finally retiring in the '90s. <b>Teddy Pendergrass</b> The soul singer was famously paralyzed from the waist down in a car accident in 1982, but that didn't stop him from entertaining his fans.
