The 5 Most Awkward Moments at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards
At last night's MTV Video Music Awards, there was no shortage of awkward, mind-boggling, inappropriate, gross, and cringe-worthy moments. And that was just during Miley Cyrus' performance alone. READ: The 5 Most Awkward Moments at the 2013 Teen Choice Awards Nevertheless, there were a handful of other awkward incidents that managed to land on the radar, despite Miley's best efforts. All of them pale in comparison, admittedly, but we thought we'd take a moment to relive the best of the rest anyway. And yes, we included Miley Cyrus' performance in our roundup, but we limited her madness to just one entry. If you're squeamish, you can just look away when you get to that part.
- Apparently, Taylor Swift can't contain her anger when an old boyfriend is in the room. When Harry Styles and the boys of One Direction took the stage as presenters, the camera flashed to Taylor Swift, who was in the middle of (presumably) mouthing "Shut the f*** up" at her ex. Lady Gaga, on the other hand, wasn't a fan of the jeering crown, because she reportedly left the arena to console the boys backstage.read moreReutersShare
- You knew this was coming, so let's just get to it: Miley Cyrus came out to sing "We Can't Stop" with a bunch of dancing teddy bears, then stayed on stage to perform (?) "Blurred Lines" and "Give It 2 U" with Robin Thicke, Kendrick Lamar and 2 Chainz. Her tongue was hanging out of her mouth from the moment she walked on stage, and things only got raunchier from there. Clothes were shed, twerking was omnipresent, and a novelty foam finger was used in a much different — and much less innocent — manner than it was initially designed for.read moreReutersShare
