Teresa Giudice spends New Year's Eve with family

Just days before heading to prison, Teresa Giudice rang in 2015 with family.

The “Real Housewives of New Jersey” star’s 13-year-old daughter, Gia, shared a photo of the pair on New Year’s Day, captioning it: “happy New Years with my best friend !! @TeresaGiudice”

She also added a red heart emoji.

The mother-daughter duo posed with their arms around each other, wearing coordinated black-and-lace ensembles with black boots.

On Monday, Teresa, 42, is scheduled to start her 15-month sentence for fraud in Danbury, Conn., at a facility made famous by the Netflix show “Orange Is the New Black.” Her husband, Joe Giudice, will take care of the couple’s four young daughters, then serve his own 41-month sentence for fraud after his wife his released.

Teresa’s final holiday season before getting locked up had its ups and downs. A source told Us Weekly that Thanksgiving was especially rough: “It reminds her that next year, she’ll be eating a turkey-like meal with canned gravy and instant potatoes — in prison.”
