‘Star Wars: Episode VII’ cast revealed

The Force has been released.
John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, and Max von Sydow will join original stars Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, and Kenny Baker in “Star Wars: Episode VII.”
Disney and Lucasfilm made the announcement Tuesday.

The plan is for a May 2014 start date so while a deadline wasn’t looming given how long the shoot was expected decisions needed to be made in case scheduling conflicts were to occur.
In a recent earnings called, Disney chief Bob Iger said this latest installment will be set 30 years after 1983's “Return of the Jedi” and will feature new and familiar faces.
Abrams and his producing partner Bryan Burk are producing through their Bad Robot banner with Kathleen Kennedy exec producing for Lucasfilm. Abrams and Lawrence Kasdan did a recent rewrite to the script.
