Sofia Vergara is best known for playing a buxom brunette on TV’s “Modern Family,” but few know the Colombian-born actress is actually a natural blonde. This isn’t the first time Vergara has spoken about faking it to make it. Back in 2010, she also told Self Magazine that she faced obstacles forging her career as a natural blonde. “When I started acting, I would go to auditions and they didn’t know where to put me because I was voluptuous and had the accent -- but I had blonde hair,” said Vergara. “It was ignorance: They thought every Latin person looks like Salma Hayek. The moment I dyed my hair dark, it was, ‘Oh, she’s the hot Latin girl.’ I loved it.” Vergara didn’t stay on the dark side. Earlier this year, she tweeted an Instagram photo of her lighter locks, which some stylists describe as “ecaille,” a golden hair color that’s currently having a major moment in Hollywood.
