Sofía Vergara is outraged about new reports that have surfaced about her oldest brother’s death.
The “Modern Family” star took to Twitter to dismiss a report from The National Enquirer last week claiming that a private investigator has new evidence involving the murder of Rafael José Vergara.
The publication claimed Vergara’s brother was linked to Diego León Montoya Sánchez, leader of Colombia’s Norte Del Valle drug cartel.

Vergara’s brother was shot and killed in 1996. She was 24 at the time.
“This is not news. This is disrespectful. We know everything we need to know about my brother's death,” Vergara posted on her Twitter account.
She then reposted the message and added that her and her family “don’t know who this idiot ‘detective’ is.”

The National Enquirer claims that Vergara’s brother, who allegedly was a businessman, was gunned down in cold blood in front of the buxom beauty.
“There was talk that Rafael had a woman on the side who was the girlfriend of a well-known drug crime boss,” a family friend supposedly told The National Enquirer.
“All his friends told him to break it off, but Rafael wouldn’t listen. A lot of people believe that the mobster found out about Rafael and his girl and ordered the hit.”
