Sebastian Bach Still 'Kicking and Screaming' With New Album, Band

Former Skid Row frontman Sebastian Bach may have lost his New Jersey home during Hurricane Irene, but the rocker isn't letting it get him down, and he's still "Kicking and Screaming.”

“I’m trying to just give you more songs in your iPod that will fit in along with the others one that I already put in there,” Bach tells FOX411.com’s “Face2Face” of his new solo release. “When we were recording [Skid Row's] ‘18 and Life’, ‘Youth Gone Wild’ and ‘I Remember You’–I loved those songs, just myself. We were like, ‘Can you imagine if this went gold? Can you imagine if somebody liked it?’”

Skid Row’s debut album went on to become a hair metal classic, selling over five million copies, four million in the U.S. alone.

Bach, while allowing that he indulged in some raucous ‘80s rock star behavior, attributes his longevity to a modicum of temperance.

“We used do a lot of crazy things back then,” admits Bach. “I still get crazy once in a while, but just less crazy. I’ve never been a guy that wakes up drinking. I’ll wait until I’m done (with) work. I don’t smoke cigarettes, I don’t do shots–the only thing I like is red wine.”

At 43, the rocker isn’t quite clear what the kids are up to today, but he is happy that modern technology has earned him new fans.

“I’m that dude in your rock band video game–I don’t even know if they even play those any more,” says Bach. “But for a while, that was really opening up rock and roll to younger kids.”

Now, Bach is excited for his new film, “Rock of Ages” starring Hollywood heavy-hitters Tom Cruise, Russell Brand, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Alec Baldwin. “Tom Cruise is a big rock fan and Russell Brand is hilarious.”
