Sean “Diddy” Combs has been in a “deep depression” following the sudden death of his on-again, off-again girlfriend Kim Porter back in November.
The mogul, 49, took to Instagram on Thursday to pay tribute to his family for sticking by him through the difficult months.
“Mama and the babies,” Diddy captioned a smiley snapshot of his mother, Janice Combs, and his twin daughters, Jessie James and D’Lila Star, whom he shared with the late Porter.

“The way my family has been strong has humbled me,” Diddy added. “They have led me. They brought me out of a deep depression. Their strength and love brought me back into the light. I love my family. THANK YOU GOD.”
Diddy noted that both his mom and his twin daughters were born on the same day, December 21. Diddy also shared a son, Christian, with Porter and adopted her eldest son, Quincy.
It appears that Diddy has been slowing returning to normal life – including waking up at 6 a.m. He also spent New Year’s Eve at a star-studded party hosted by Jay-Z and Beyoncé.
