Due to his rare phobia, Billy Bob refuses to stay in a room with furniture from before 1950. But he’s not alone – more than 250,000 people in the U.S. alone apparently suffer from a fear of antiques. "Maybe it's a past-life thing and I got beat to death with some old chair," Thornton has said to Oprah. "I don't really know. But anyway … I'm totally serious. And I can't eat around antiques."
