- Attention all Roy Rogers fans: On Wednesday and Thursday, Christie's will be auctioning off several items that once belonged to the late Roy Rogers. The iconic American singer and cowboy actor, whose original name was Leonard Franklin Slye, died in 1998. He was featured in hundreds of movies along with his German Shepherd, Bullet, his horse, Trigger, and his real-life wife, Dale Evans.
