So maybe age isn’t just a number.
Robin Wright has broken off her 10-month engagement to Ben Foster, reports Us Weekly.
According to an insider, the 14-year age difference between the “House of Cards” star, 48, and her 34-year-old fiancé played a role in the split.

“The gap just ended up being too much,” a source close to Wright told the magazine. “Ben was kind of immature. She couldn’t deal with him anymore.”
The couple’s very busy schedules didn’t help matters, either.
Wright spent her summer shooting the hit Netflix series in Baltimore and spending time with her children — Dylan, 23, and Hopper Jack, 21 — in Los Angeles, while Foster was busy with a London stage production of “A Streetcar Named Desire.”

“She got swept up in the engagement last Christmas, but then their schedules got crazy and she realized it wasn’t the right decision,” another source said.
Wright and Foster started dating in early 2012 and announced their engagement in January.
The marriage would have been the Golden Globe winner’s third. She was married to actor Dane Witherspoon in the mid-’80s and Sean Penn from 1996 to 2010.
