Real Housewives of Atlanta Get Tipsy, Then Ride

Is it really legal to drink and ride?
Never a dry moment with these gals: On the October 4 season premiere of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, on-again frenemies Kim Zolciak and NeNe Leakes sipped glasses of wine in the backseat of an SUV en route to an event.
Were they breaking the law?

According to Lieutenant D. Little of the Atlanta PD, "It depends. If you're a passenger in a regular vehicle, you can't drink alcohol — even if it's being driven by a professional chauffeur. But if you hire a permitted car and driver through a chauffeur service, then you're fine."
(Bravo wouldn't fess up about whose wheels they were.)
Those who ignore the rules can get socked with a $250 ticket, which may be a small price to pay for this ATL crew.
