PHOTOS: Marisa Tomei Is 49, Has Not Aged Since 1994

Like a fine wine, one actress gets better with age -- except it seems like she skipped the whole aging process and just remained youthful. PHOTOS: Shania Twain Is 48, Has Not Aged Since 1995 At 49, Academy Award-winning actress Marisa Tomei continues to outshine other much younger Hollywood starlets. And while one might assume that surgery had something to do with that, the native New Yorker has discovered other, more natural ways to keep her gorgeous glow. Back in 2010, while promoting her new fitness DVD, titled “Core & Curves,” the then-45-year-old spoke with ELLE Canada about her secrets to looking and feeling amazing. Yes, Tomei does work out daily to keep her svelte shape in check, but she did discovered a fun way to stay fit. PHOTOS: Sharon Stone Rocks a Bikini, See Her Many Ageless Looks “I’ve always done dance and yoga, and I still do, and all those things create long, lean lines and this workout stays with the long, feminine shape,” Tomei said of her workout regimen. Tomei says she isn't a fan of weights, but stays active in other ways. PHOTOS: Brad Pitt Turns 50, Looks Like He Did In 1993 “I might do a dance class, or get a massage, which will activate me in a different way,” she said. “I take hikes when I’m in Los Angeles, I hula hoop -- a lot of different things.” “Hooping will make you smile every time and with a hoop you’re working 360 degrees of muscle. It’s every single muscle in your waist and hips,” she said. “It’s joyful and very feminine and I like the idea of women moving their hips and really getting into their bodies.” Of course, she wouldn’t be so sizzling hot without a balanced diet. Tomei told the fashion magazine that she prefers a Mediterranean diet featuring fresh fruits and veggies from the farmer’s markets, protein, and loads of water. And to keep her skin so smooth and supple? It’s all about moisturizing. I usually stick to the basics.” The leading lady’s routine has clearly been working for decades now. See what we mean below.
