New mommy Paulina Rubio and her beau Nicolás Vellejo-Nágera appear on the cover of this week’s issue of ¡HOLA! magazine presenting the world photos of their new baby boy, Andrea Nicolás.
“Life has a new meaning for us,” said the Mexican pop singer, who recently has been under media scrutiny for her controversial racial comments on Twitter while defending former Miss Universe Alicia Machado.
“Nicolás and I wanted this baby," she said. "Now our lives revolve around this tiny person who is a part of both of us.”
Paulina also told the magazine how it is an “incredible experience” to breastfeed her newborn.
“I read a lot [on breast feeding] and spoke to my girlfriends and family members about it,” says Rubio.
From the looks of little Andrea, it is hard to imagine that Rubio had the labor complications that she did.
The “Chica Dorada” was looking forward to delivering her son at home in her Miami mansion, but unexpected complications forced the artist to rush to the hospital instead.
“The umbilical cord was too short,” Paulina tells ¡HOLA! in their exclusive interview. “The boy was not in the correct position for a natural birth at home.”
With a new year approaching, Paulina has already made public one of her resolutions.
“I want to be back performing up on a stage by the time the boy could say 'Mamá,'" said Paulina. “My return to the artistic world is not far.”
