Nick Cannon says the worst part of divorce is time with kids called ‘visitation’

Nick Cannon has a name for the one thing that truly bothers him about his divorce to Mariah Carey: “visitation.”
Speaking to Howard Stern on his radio show on Monday, the “America’s Got Talent” host said calling his time with his children “visitation” feels unfair to him and other fathers going through a divorce.
“It’s kind of f---ed up when time with your kids is considered visitations,” he said. “It's unfair to the fathers in the situation. I'm just keeping it real ... That's pain, right there."

Especially with his super packed schedule.
"Everything shuts down when I'm with my kids," he said. "It's their time, [and] my house is like a big fun house. I have a candy store and slides ... We're just playing the whole time. But I'm also the most stern. I'm the disciplinarian, 100 percent. They know dad don't play."
Carey and Cannon have had a very amicable divorce, and their kids are the main reason why.

This is not the first time, though, that Cannon has spoken out against the divorce proceedings. He recently dropped a single, “Divorce Papers” – which also complains about the idea of visitations – in which he opened up about the ordeal.
“I named the song ‘Divorce Papers’ to throw it back in everyone’s face,” he told Genius. “The media made up a lie that I was holding up the process, saying I wouldn’t sign the divorce papers. So I was like, ‘You want divorce papers? Well, here you go!'”
The song opens with Cannon rapping, "Divorce papers: My lawyer said, 'Don't say s---.'"

That, he told the music website, is because, “[It was] me releasing a little frustration at the attorneys on both sides, because lawyers always think they control the clients, and they cause most of the friction – especially since my ex and I get along. So ultimately the writing process was, and continues to be, therapeutic for me.”
