Sofia Vergara has been involved in a messy lawsuit with her ex-fiancé Nick Loeb over the fate of a pair of frozen embryos, but at least the Colombian-born actress can rely on her “Modern Family” costar Julie Bowen.
Bowen ,who plays Claire Dunphy on the sitcom, spoke to the New York Daily News about her good friend raving, “She is one of the kindest, best people I know. I am so sad that on the eve of all of her great happiness that had to happen, but at the same time, I know that she will be perfectly fine. She is a wonderful person. She's such a good person."
The 45-year-old actress also expressed shock at the lawsuit exclaiming, “These are adults. These are all adults. Why is one acting so badly?"
Loeb has accused Vergara of wanting to destroy two frozen embryos that they created when they were a couple.

“I have always strongly believed that life begins at fertilization and that every embryo is a life on the journey towards birth," he said in a statement Monday night. "I created these two female embryos with the purpose of taking them to term and not destruction, because I have always dreamed of being a father.”
Vergara released a statement several days earlier, flatly denying his claims.
"The claims made against Sofia Vergara by Nick Loeb are uncredible and hold no merit," her attorney, Fred Silberberg, said in a statement to People magazine. "Vergara has never wanted to destroy her embryos. Vergara has never suggested that she wished to have the embryos destroyed. She has always maintained that they be kept frozen, a fact of which Loeb and his counsel have always been aware, despite Loeb's statements to the contrary."

Vergara is now engaged to “True Blood” hunk Joe Manganiello and the couple is planning to start a family, Bowen joked about.
“Personally I think it’s unfair to the gene pool,” she said.
