“Modern Family” star Ariel Winter flaunted her figure in a new Instagram post on Tuesday, just weeks after she opened up about her recent weight loss and revealing her slimmer appearance was due to a change in her antidepressant medication.
In the image, which had nearly 250,000 likes as of Wednesday morning, the 21-year-old actress smiles softly at the camera while her hands delicately hold up the white towel wrapped around her body. The actress appears to be wearing natural-looking makeup while her hair is styled in a messy side braid.
“Beauty,” one fan wrote in response.

But others appeared to more critical of the star, with one commenting, “just my opinion but I think you look way better with a few pounds on you.”
“Don’t even recognize her, I’m sad all the internet trolls had an impact on her self confidence,” claimed another.
In a Q&A session on her Instagram Story in early April, the star addressed concerns from one fan who asked why the actress was “so thin.” That’s when Winter revealed her weight loss was due to a switch in her antidepressant medication.

She admitted that her original medication caused her to gain some weight and despite all her tough workouts, the pounds wouldn't come off. Instead of obsessing over her curvier shape, Winter said she had accepted her body at a heavier weight.
“For years I had been on antidepressants that caused me to gain weight that I couldn’t lose no matter what I did,” she explained at the time.
“It was always frustrating for me because I wanted to be able to get fit and feel like the work I was doing was paying off, but it never felt that way. I had accepted it and moved on. I stayed on those medications for so long because the process is really long and difficult. I wasn’t ready to go through it again so I just accepted feeling eh instead of trying to find something to actually feel better," she added.

But the young actress decided she didn't want to feel this way any longer and started to search for alternatives.
“I started the process again and was able to find a great combination of medication that works for me,” Winter explained. “The change in medication instantly made me drop all of the weight I couldn’t lose before by just giving me back a metabolism. That was very unexpected.”

But Winter also admitted at the time that she misses her curves.
“While I feel better mentally with the change, and it’s nice to work out and have your body actually respond, but I want to gain a few pounds of muscle and get healthier,” she said. “Also, want my butt back…”
The Q&A session came after the star defended herself from online bullies who mocked her feet and another time when they claimed she was “too slim” after she showed off her toned figure in a checkered jumpsuit.
