Transgender model Carmen Carrera married longtime boyfriend Adrian Torres over the summer in Chatsworth, California.

Tonight, the happy couple’s memorable day will air as part of the season finale of “Couples Therapy with Dr. Jenn” on VH1 — and it will mark the first-ever wedding by an openly transgender person to air on TV.

“This wedding has given us a sense of freedom to be proud of what we have and who we are,” Carrera told People magazine. “Celebrating our love and what we call our ‘modern, modern family,’ lets us know that we belong here and that we also have a place to raise a family of our own on our terms. We feel truly blessed.”

The magazine has exclusive photos of the Carrera and Torres’ wedding. The happy couple began dating almost a decade ago and started a domestic partnership in 2009.

They briefly split in 2013, but decided to give it another shot and spent this past season on “Couples Therapy” working on their renewed relationship.

"Adrian has been there for me through so many important moments in my life and our love has forever kept us together," said Carrera. "We realize we are so lucky to have found one another. He has shown me that unconditional love transcends gender and the exterior appearance."

For her wedding, Carrera wore a low-cut white gown with a “Spanish feel” while her groom sported a grey three-piece suit with a blue tie. Torres’ daughters from a previous marriage – Ahsia, 11, and Leeah, 7 – wore simple, short white dresses.

"When we originally got together, we sometimes felt like it was us against the world. But now, incredibly, it's us with the world," Carrera told People. "Our children are so smart and such a big part of our lives. Having them there with us while we made this commitment really solidifies our existence as a family."

“Couple Therapy” season finale airs at 10 p.m. on VH1.
