Natalie Portman isn't the only starlet Moby claims to have attempted to romance.
In his new book, the 53-year-old musician claims he tried to seduce singer Lana Del Rey back when she was known as Lizzy Grant.
In his new book, "And Then It Fell Apart," Moby writes of meeting Del Rey at a New York City bar, “We’d kissed at the bar at 4 a.m., just as the place was closing, and I’d asked her to come home with me. She’d smiled and said no, she wouldn’t go home with me after just meeting me, but she would happily go on a date if I called her and asked her out. I called her the next day, and we talked for thirty minutes about music and politics and growing up in the suburbs."

He continued, “She was beautiful, smart, and charming; making plans to meet up with her was both what I wanted to do and what my new therapist had told me to do.”
The evening went south for Moby, however, when he flaunted his wealth to the then-fledgling singer, who wasn't impressed.

When Moby told Del Rey he had a piano on the second floor of his apartment, he claims she told him, “'Floors in an apartment. Moby, you know you’re the man.”
When he initially took it was a compliment, Del Rey corrected him.

“'No, not like that,'" Moby recalled her saying. "'You’re a rich WASP from Connecticut and you live in a five-level penthouse. You’re The Man. As in, "stick it to The Man." As in the person they guillotine in the revolution.'”
Moby writes, "I didn’t know if she was insulting me but I decided to take it as a compliment.”
Del Rey, he claims, didn't sleep with him that night, but he says they did share a kiss goodnight, which he wrote that he actually preferred.

“He said I was 20; I definitely wasn’t,” Portman, now 37, said. “I was a teenager. I had just turned 18. He was on tour and I was working shooting a film, so we only hung out a handful of times before I realized that this was an older man who was interested in me in a way that felt inappropriate.”
Moby then doubled down on his claim that they dated.

"To be fair, I would probably regret dating me, too," Moby wrote, before adding that Portman's feelings don't change the "actual facts" of their alleged "brief romantic history."
