Talk about awkward timing.
Miranda Lambert unveiled a bold new ‘do at Wednesday night’s CMA Awards, just hours after her ex-husband, Blake Shelton, and new squeeze Gwen Stefani went public with their whirlwind romance.
With pale pink streaks added to Lambert’s golden mane, Twitter couldn’t help but compare the country crooner’s colorful locks to the No Doubt rocker’s blush strands from 1999.
While Lambert, 31, didn’t comment on the breakup, or her former love’s new woman, she alluded to going through a tough time during her acceptance speech for Female Vocalist of the Year.
“Man, I appreciate it. I needed a bright spot this year, so thank you,” she said.
Lambert and Shelton, 39, split in July after four years of marriage. Nearly two months later, the “Voice” personality was linked to co-star Stefani, 46, who had also announced her split from Gavin Rossdale, 50, after 13 years of marriage.
After much speculation, a rep for the mom of three confirmed the news Wednesday night that she and Shelton are an item.
