Mel B's ex slams abuse claims, says she's a 'fake victim'

Mel B's ex-husband Stephen Belafonte has slammed the Spice Girl as a "fake victim" as he posted a picture of their daughter.

The 43-year-old shared a snap of Madison hugging a picture of his face after she alleged he may "harm her."

Breaking his silence for the first time since Mel, 43, released her tell-all memoir "Brutally Honest," Belafonte ranted on Instagram.

He raged: "After my wife's allegations over a year and a half ago that I may harm our beautiful daughter, I went from seeing my daughter two times a week in a room with a person to make sure I did not harm her to having about 85 percent custody right now!!!!

"If I really am this horrible abusive man why would Melanie not be fighting with everything she has left in her body for me to not be the primary parent in our seven-year-old life??

"It’s because after Melanie put these allegations out she came to me with her lawyers and asked that I relinquished all parental rights and relinquished all rights to any money and then I realized what she had done her dirty tactics and then she had to keep pretending that it was true and be the fake victim that she is!!

"With no proof only the allegations and her celebrity my world was turned upside down but in a strange way I feel like I'm the luckiest man in the world because I have all this time with my daughter!!!

"I have over 1000 direct messages from men and women that are going through this ugly thing called divorce! all of you hold your head up don't crumble, stay focused it will take a long time but you can get a positive result!!!! #liarssuck #saynotodrugs."

Last year Mel asked the film producer for a divorce after ten years of marriage, citing "irreconcilable differences."

The couple's marriage was plagued by rumors of abuse, controlling behavior and infidelity.

She lifted the lid on his alleged "abusive" behavior on "Loose Women" earlier this week, telling viewers her late dad took his last breath after she told him she would "go and divorce the monster."
