Matt Damon Debuts Chrome Dome: Who Has the Best Bald Head in Hollywood History?

There are few things Hollywood loves more than a freshly shaved head. And no, Britney Spears hasn't gotten her hands on a razor again.

Matt Damon has gone bald for his next movie, the sci-fi thriller "Elysium." Meanwhile, Jake Gyllenhaal has chopped off his mop to play a cop in "End of Watch." And Damon thinks Gyllenhaal outdid him in the chrome dome department.

"Wow, I try not to envy, but I have to say Jake's got a damn good-looking head," Damon, 40, told People. "Gyllenhaal definitely gets the blue ribbon for the best bald head over me," he said at the New York premiere of his new killer virus thriller, "Contagion."

And like many men (and a few women), Damon is enjoying the low-maintenance lifestyle that a bald head allows.

"It's really liberating. I get out of the shower and just run the towel over my head and I'm done," he told People.

Confirming the stereotype that women like the bald, virile look, Damon says his wife digs his new dome.

"Thank God she does," he told the mag, "but you know she had to take a whole vow, for better or for worse, so she's kind of stuck with me!"
