Mary-Kate Olsen is opening up about her marriage in a rare interview.
The 30-year-old former child star, who’s been keeping busy launching a new collection for the luxury fashion label Elizabeth and James alongside twin sister Ashley, told Net-A-Porter that she’s found a happy balance within her marriage to 47-year-old French banker Olivier Sarkozy.

“I think we’re lucky [working hard] comes quite naturally to us,” said the couture designer. “We don’t need so much time to sit and think and ponder. But then I have a husband, two step-kids and a life; I have to go home and cook dinner. I ride horses on the weekends. You find the thing that helps you relax and if you don’t have it, you have to look for it. Or you get burned out and then you’re not productive.”
Mary-Kate married her then-longtime boyfriend in 2015 in a private ceremony in front of some 50 guests where they were reportedly offered bowls filled with cigarettes, prompting the guests to smoke the whole night.
The couple began dating in 2012 and sparked engagement rumors when Mary-Kate was photographed wearing a giant ring on her ring finger in early 2014. While they’ve rarely spoken publicly about their relationship, the two have been frequently spotted by photographers.

The twins recently stirred headlines after they agreed to pay $140,000 to a group of 185 interns who claimed they were overworked.

In court filings, the interns alleged they worked up to 50 hours per week for months at a time for the Olsens. Each intern will receive approximately $530 each and the remaining payout will go to their lawyers if a judge approves the agreement.
