Are you following singer Maluma on Instagram? If you are, you aren't alone. Not even remotely.
The 22-year-old Colombian singer, whose given name is Juan Luis Londoño, just surpassed 10 million followers on the social media platform, becoming the first male Latin artist to do so.
Not even heavyweights Marc Anthony, Enrique Iglesias and Pitbull are anywhere near that number of followers. They have 2 million, 5.8 million and 3.5 million respectively.

Some of the Latin male singers who are also nearing the 10 million mark are Puerto Rican reggaeton singer Nicky Jam – who has 9.1 million followers – and Colombian J Balvin, with 8.8 million.
To celebrate the milestone, Maluma shared nine videos that included photos of fans who follow his account.
On Facebook, Maluma has nearly 19 million fans – not too shabby.

In terms of social media followers, Latina artists are well ahead of the men. Selena Gomez tops the list with 60.15 million followers. She is followed by fellow Disney Channel alum Demi Lovato, who has 35.57 million.
Shakira is still the queen of Facebook with 104 million fans.
