Madonna banned from movie theaters for texting

That’ll teach Madonna not to text at the movies.
A movie-theater chain with a strict no-texting policy has banned the Material Girl from ever watching a flick at its facilities.
The symbolic but snarky ban, by the boutique chain Alamo Drafthouse, was sparked last week after Madonna’s thumbs kept prodding her BlackBerry during the Lincoln Center premiere of “12 Years a Slave.”
When an audience member asked her to stop, the blonde, who turned out to be none other than Madonna, snapped back, “It’s for business . . . enslaver!”
Alamo, headquartered in Austin, Texas, prides itself on kicking moviegoers out if they refuse to stop texting, and seized on the news.
