Lucy Hale quit drinking to become 'the best version of myself'

Lucy Hale decided to give up drinking alcohol.
The former child star told Byrdie she made the decision after struggling for years to fit in with the Hollywood "it crowd."
"I'm just always trying to surround myself with better people and be the best version of myself possible," she shared. "I know it sounds obnoxious to hear people say that, but why not?"
The "Pretty Little Liars" star added that after moving to Los Angeles at 15 to pursue a career in acting, she has "no interest" in Hollywood parties anymore.
At 27, she now prefers to spend her nights at home watching TV with her dog, listening to podcasts and going to SoulCycle classes which is her "version of church."
"I went through a phase that was almost like my freshman 15," she said. "It's so weird to see your weight fluctuate on a TV show. I go home, and my dad’s like, 'You L.A. hippie with your crystals and your SoulCycle!'"
