Lindsay Lohan was led out of a Los Angeles County courtroom in handcuffs after having her probation revoked for coming up way short in her community service obligations.
The actress, wearing heavy makeup, was expressionless as law enforcement officials cuffed and shepherded her to an adjacent room where she was placed in custody.
Superior Court Judge Stephanie Sautner set bail at $100,000. Lohan's spokesman Steve Honig said she immediately posted bail. It was unclear if she had been released.

The actress attended the Wednesday hearing at the judge's order following reports she had not attended her community service assignments at a women's shelter.
The judge said that was cause enough to revoke probation.
"There has been violation after violation," Sautner said.

A city prosecutor said Lohan should be jailed.
"If jail meant something in the state of California now, maybe I'd put her in jail," Sautner said.
Lohan had started performing community service with the American Red Cross instead of the women's shelter, but Sautner said that would not count toward her probation because it was not part of her sentence.

Sautner said Lohan would be entitled to a hearing in November before being sentenced to jail.
It's the latest legal problem for the 25-year-old actress. The probation stems from a pair of drunk driving arrests, one of which involved cocaine possession, and the theft of a gold necklace from a jewelry store.
Lohan was sentenced to complete 360 hours community service over the course of a year. The judge said in the hearing it looks like Lohan has completed about an hour and a half in her first six months.

"Lindsay is hoping this matter will be resolved on Nov. 2 and the court will reinstate probation and allow her to continue fulfilling her community service," Honig said.
Lohan, aside from a role in last year's film "Machete," has seen her acting career evaporate in recent years.
