LeAnn Rimes: I'm done talking about my feud with Brandi Glanville

LeAnn Rimes is ready to stop talking about her seemingly never-ending feud with Brandi Glanville.

But the country star hinted to FOX 411 she’s not positive Glanville—who was once married to Rimes’ current husband Eddie Cibrian— is ready to put their arguing behind her.

“I don’t cause drama for the sake of drama, to use it as a career platform,” Rimes said. “As long as that is going to remain a focus of anyone else’s life involved in the situation then I don’t know how much it’s going to calm down, but we’ll see."

And though Glanville may continue to discuss her issues with Rimes on “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” where she’s a series regular, the 30-year-old singer said she is ready to bring the attention back to her music.

“Somehow this crazy story started to be tabloid fodder and it has been for so long. It’s so nice to be able to change the conversation and bring it back to my music because that is what I do.”

Rimes is now making the media rounds to talk about her latest album, “Spitfire.” She said she is addressing her highly publicized affair with Cibrian—which took place while he was married to Glanville and she was married to actor Dean Sheremet—through her music.

“I needed to somehow address it,” she explained.

She said a few of her new songs mention the affair because it was the “elephant in the room.”

“When you have people writing all of these things about your life, and most of the time it couldn’t be further from the truth, it really didn’t feel like a risk of telling the truth,” she said. “I feel like I actually had a say in it, finally. My own life. Imagine that.”
