Although singer Kelly Clarkson has been shouting her love for boyfriend Brandon Blackstock from the rooftops, the "American Idol" winner says she isn’t even thinking about planning her wedding just yet.

“There’s no rush; we’re not pushing anything,” she told Life & Style while promoting her Greatest Hits CD (out Nov. 19).

“We will totally get married in the future,” she added, with confidence. “He already has two awesome kids — an 11-year-old and a seven-year-old.”

In the meantime, Clarkson is focused on other things — like setting up the house Blackstock just bought for the happy couple in Tennessee.

More On This...

“When I’m not working, you’ll find me getting on with my life in Nashville, not turning up at parties in London, Los Angeles or New York,” Clarkson, 30, said.

Clarkson — who met her talent-manager boyfriend, 35, through his stepmom, Reba McEntire — says she’s also looking forward to spending the holidays with Blackstock the good ol’ fashioned way.

“This is our first holiday together, so we’re just going to celebrate in our new house,” she said. “We’re going to wake up early, open gifts and do stuff with the kids.”

As for how her relationship will affect her music, Clarkson — who has written some of the best break-up anthems in recent memory, including “Since U Been Gone” — tells fans to look forward to hearing her sing a happier kind of tune in the future.

“It’s part of a whole different side of yourself that will come out in your music and writing,” she said. “I love it.”
