Kathy Griffin lashed out at "Fahrenheit 11/9” filmmaker Michael Moore after he tweeted a message urging liberals to "stop hoping & start acting!”

On Thursday, Moore shared a tweet that alluded to Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, who was investigated by the FBI this week for sexual misconduct allegations brought against him by Dr. Christine Blasey Ford.

And while liberals hoped the FBI probe played against Kavanaugh, after Sen. Jeff Flake announced that the FBI investigation showed “no additional corroborating information,” Moore took to Twitter and called the hopeful liberals foolish for "placing their hopes in the FBI.”

Moore said, "5 days ago Dems & 'liberals' did the same old thing, claiming some empty 'victory' when Flake feigned 'shame, and then foolishly placing their hopes in the FBI - THE FBI! - doing an 'investigation.' When is our side going to wake up and start FIGHTING? Stop hoping & start acting!"

Not agreeing with Moore's call to action, Griffin responded to the filmmaker in a lengthy tweet asking "what more could [they] have done?"

“Michael…WE LOST," the star began. “What more could we have done? We don’t have the Senate or the Presidency. What more can we do for god sakes?"

The comedian concluded her tweet by directing another question at Moore and said, "And frankly what were you doing?"

The “My Life on the D-List” star and the political filmmaker are just some of the Hollywood celebrities who have spoken out against the Kavanaugh nomination. And while Griffin and Moore argued their opposition to Kavanaugh on Twitter, actress Amy Schumer and model Emily Ratajkowski became a part of the action and were arrested while protesting the Supreme Court nomination of the controversial judge.

"Today I was arrested protesting the Supreme Court nomination of Brett Kavanaugh, a man who has been accused by multiple women of sexual assault," Ratajkowski, 27, captioned a photo of herself holding up a sign that reads, "Respect female existence or expect our resistance."

She added, "Men who hurt women can no longer be placed in positions of power."

“No matter how this goes, they cannot keep us down,” Schumer, 37, said during the protest, Variety reported. “We will win. A vote for Kavanaugh is a vote saying women don’t matter.”
