He’s a ridiculously good-looking actor famous for his now-defunct marriage to “Friends” star Jennifer Aniston — but the West Village coop war between Justin Theroux and his building neighbor just took an ugly turn.

In a sworn statement filed in their ongoing Manhattan civil court fight over renovations, the “The Leftovers” actor alleges lawyer-neighbor Norman Resnicow is a wife beater.

The hunky actor states in the filing that he heard Resnicow screaming at his wife on the evening of Feb. 10 as he left his own apartment — and was so disturbed he called the cops. A few days later, Barbara Resnicow was seen by building officials with a black eye, the filing alleges.

“Because my apartment is directly above the Resnicows’ apartment, I have had the misfortune over the years of personally overhearing Mr. Resnicow frequently scream at and berate Mrs. Resnicow, with some of those instances resulting in calls to 911,” Theroux writes.

“Although I cannot know for certain that Mrs. Resnicow’s injury stems from the Sunday night altercation 2 ½ days earlier, I am bringing this to the Court’s attention because, by all outward appearances, earlier attempts to go through the police have not been effective.”

Theroux sued Resnicow in 2017 in Manhattan Supreme Court, claiming the attorney had been harassing him regarding ongoing renovations to his own apartment.

The bizarre legal battle has since escalated to include claims by Theroux that his neighbor has taken to spying on him, trespassing on his deck, and menacing tenants in the 71 Washington Place building with “farming tools.”

Theroux and Aniston announced their amicable split last year after 2 1/2 years of marriage.

Meanwhile, both Resnicow and his wife Barbara have responded in their own sworn statements, saying the allegation is false.

“On the preceding Friday, Feb. 8, while returning to my office from the gym at lunchtime, I tripped and hit the side of my face on the sidewalk while admiring a cute toddler,” Barbara Resnicow writes, in addition to producing screenshots of text messages she sent her husband shortly after the fall telling him she’d been injured. “This resulted in a bruise below my left eye.”

“As for Norman’s allegedly abusive language, I have never feared for my safety while alone with Norman,” she adds. “I strongly resent Mr. Theroux’s attempt to gain an advantage in this litigation — in essence just a border dispute between neighbors – by spreading poison around Norman and presenting the Court with his skewed impression of our marriage.”

Resnicow says his wife is hard of hearing — hence the yelling.

In his own filing, Resnicow’s lawyer Peter Levine writes that Theroux and his own attorney, Eric Sherman, “the maestro of this litigation and destruction, owe Norman Resnicow an apology.”

Sherman did not immediately return a request for comment.
