Juan Luis Guerra Leads Latin Grammy Nominations

Juan Luis Guerra leads the pack among nominees for the 13th annual Latin Grammy Awards, scooping up six nominations.

Guerra nominations, announced Tuesday morning in Los Angeles, include the coveted awards of Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Album of the Year.

Jesee & Joy got five nods while Ricardo Arjona, Edgar Barrera, Juanes, Carla Morrison, Arturo Sandoval, Ivete Sangalo, and 2012 Latin Recording Academy Person of the Year Caetano Veloso, are up for four awards.

Following behind with three nominations were Chico Buarque, ChocQuibTown, Don Omar, Rafael Dragaud, Gregg Field, Javier Garza, Gilberto Gil, Ulises Hadjis, Roberto Talma, and Martin Terefe.

This year’s award show will honor artists from 47 categories and 18 different genres. The ceremony will take place on November 15th at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.
