BEVERLY HILLS, CALIF. – Rob Lowe and John Stamos are widely regarded as two of Hollywood’s hunkiest stars. And on Thursday, the leading men were in one place, schmoozing with reporters at Fox’s Television Critics Association panel and joking about their good looks.
Lowe was quizzed about his friendship with Stamos, during a Q&A for his upcoming show “The Grinder.”
“As a founding member of Jimmy Kimmel’s Handsome Men’s Club, Stamos has been up for membership. So far, the board hasn’t voted him yet,” Lowe joked. “Sting is really lobbying hard. David Beckham is blackballed, every time he’s gotten close.”
Stamos was present to promote his show “Grandfathered” with Josh Peck and Christina Milian.
Lowe continued to poke fun at his friend. “[The Handsome Men’s Club is] a wonderful club and we enjoy it very much, and I’m looking forward to seeing ‘Grandfathered.’ I’m sure that after seeing six or seven episodes of that, John will breeze in.”
From the back of the room, Stamos called out jokingly: “Rob, tell the truth! We’ve dated for a year!”
The banter continued and Lowe muttered, “This is what the level of journalism has become? It’s shameful anyone can get credentialed!”
Lowe divulged that his looks have actually led to a new business venture, which he said has been six years in the making.
“I launched a skincare line, so I’m going into an actual real business,” he explained. “It will hit Nordstrom in the fall. At a certain point I love acting, I love producing and I love doing this but with each year there is less and less that is new to me. So to find new things to do in an actual straight business is a fun thing for me.”
