Jessica Lowndes has only fond memories of her days playing Adrianna Tate-Duncan on “90210,” the CW’s reboot of “Beverly Hills, 90210.”
“For me, I was a guest star and I was supposed to be initially in two episodes and two weeks of work… The fact that it turned into over a 115 is like insane and such an incredible experience,” the 28-year-old told Fox News.
She said the show thrust her into the spotlight at the perfect time.

“I had just moved to LA and it was so unexpected,” she recalled. “I had so much fun. I got to dive into so many pressing issues. My character had a lot of drama, so as an actress, it was really fun to play. The whole thing was a highlight to me. It was so not what I thought it was going to be and it turned into being so much more.”
“90210” ran on The CW for five seasons. Lowndes said she learned a lot from the teen series.
“There are days when you are exhausted, tired and having to wake up at 3:30 in the morning to get to set on time, and I feel like soaking in every moment of it because everything great does come to an end. So for me, I’m so happy I did that. There were days when I was so tired but you just look around and appreciate what is going on.”

Lowndes was at The Beverly Wilshire on Thursday to support the Women’s Guild Cedars-Sinai Annual Spring Luncheon.
“It’s super important to come together as women,” she said of the event. “I recently took a stand in our fight against misogyny… I challenged women to take off their makeup and to either post a video or make a selfie and nominate other women in their life to do the same. For me it’s not an anti-makeup sort of thing; I love wearing makeup… It’s a way for girls to celebrate who they are and be confident and to feel beautiful. With everything going on right now, there is so much cyber-bullying and for me it’s so powerful every time someone posts these pictures.”
Lowndes said her main goal is to be happy.

“… To me, happiness is what success is. I love what I do; I love to act; I love to sing, but for me it’s about… loving the people that mean the most to me. I surround myself with really good people. I talk to my family; I get out of town if I need a break, and I recharge my batteries. For me, that is the whole thing… It’s about being happy with who you are and where you are at more than anything else.”
