Jennifer Lopez Sets The Record Straight: She Remains A Single Woman

Jennifer Lopez has just only recently ended her more than two-year relationship with Casper Smart, but that has not stopped rumors from taking over the Internet that she is already dating.

While E! News was quick to deny that she was dating “Dancing with the Stars” pro-dancer Maksim Chmerkoviskiy, the 44-year-old singer took to Twitter to set the record straight.

During a Q&A on Twitter Thursday, after Pittsburgh radio station Q92.9FM speculated that J.LO “broke up with Casper Smart on FRIDAY and is ready dating someone new!,” the singer replied, “No, I’m not. #rumors #nottrue #AKAinstoresJune17 :)”

A fan then asked a follow-up question: “Does this mean you didn’t break up or you’re not dating someone new?”

“No I’m not. (dating anyone new already.)” Lopez responded.

This was the first time the “I Luv Ya, Papi” singer mentioned her recent breakup with Smart, 27.

Lopez and Chmerkoviskiy met last November when they shared the stage at the 2013 American Music Awards show during her tribute to salsa great Celia Cruz.

The mother of two might be a little busy to get back into dating so soon, as she is promoting the release of her 10th studio album “AKA.” She also recently flew to Sao Paulo, Brazil for the World Cup opening ceremony alongside Pitbull and Claudia Leitte.

The performance was the subject of some controversy after Lopez initially pulled out and then flip flopped and announced she would actually be there.

On her way to Sao Paulo she posted some photos on Instagram, including a selfie with Pitbull and a behind-the-scenes look before hitting the stage.

Lopez also posted a video of her dancing around backstage. At the end, she said “Who said I wasn’t coming?” before walking off.

She added the caption: "#whosaidiwasntcoming #JLoAKA #WorldCup2014 #WeAreOne."
