As the 10th season of “American Idol” finally airs Wednesday night, Bronx-native and singer Jennifer López opens up about the struggles of finding America’s next Carrie Underwood.

“I’m having a great time,” López told Fox News. “It does feel good. But there was a moment yesterday where I felt like why did I do this?”

Aside from "American Idol," J.Lo has been busy. She recently dropped two songs and music videos, and, through Twitter, is looking for dancers to be in her new music video "On the Floor."

In her role as judge, in which she'll listen to singing hopefuls with Aerosmith's lead singer Steven Tyler and veteran "American Idol" judge Randy Jackson, López said it has been distressing when certain contestants don’t make the cut.

“It’s heartbreaking sometimes,” López admits.
