Nickelodeon star Jennette McCurdy found herself caught up in a scandal when her provocative private seflies were leaked online.
When McCurdy failed to show up for the network's Kids Choice Awards, there were rumors her “Sam & Cat Show” was done. But a rep told FOX411 the show will go on with its 21-year-old star, which means even with her racy photos out there, Nick says its okay she remains the star of a program squarely aimed at little kids.
Has it gotten to a point with social media that we’re just immune to this kind of behavior?

“We are 100 percent immune to sexy selfies," Ken Shadford, Director of Maxim TV, told FOX411's In the Zone. "Absolutely no one cares about it anymore."
SiriusXM radio personality Cristina Palumbo says McCurdy’s scantily clad selfie could even help her career.
“Every star that has done this has been handsomely rewarded in the long run as far as fame is concerned," she said. "It can’t hurt her. I don’t think anything can hurt you nowadays."

Shadford agreed that a sex scandal rarely seems to hurt Hollywood celebs.
“It’s a good way for a young star to transition into being seen as a more adult star,” he said.
“We have a track record in this country that sex sells, and it only heightens your persona," Palumbo agreed. "It’s weird that it has to do with a children’s show, but it’s still going to attract attention to an already really successful show."
