Funnyman Jay Mohr did not win any new fans when he insulted Alyssa Milano after the pair appeared at the Nascar Spring Cup Series Awards gala in Las Vegas on Dec. 6 and now he's offered a heartfelt apology for the tasteless comments reports People magazine.

“She’s very tiny, in height….it seems like she had had had a baby and said, ‘I don’t really give a s..t’ I read it on her gut,” the “Jerry Maguire” actor said about Milano’s appearance during a radio interview.

“Somebody sat in the director’s chair was not wearing Spanx and I was like ‘Jesus Christ!” he chortled.

Milano, who has a 2-year-old son named Milo wisely took the high road.

“So sorry you felt the need to publicly fat-shame me,” she tweeted. “Be well and God Bless. Please send my love to your beautiful wife.”

Fans rallied around the “Mistresses” actress and Mohr, 43 who had a son in 2011 with wife Nikki Cox offered an apology after the backlash mounted.

“She’s stunning. I mistakenly thought the absurdity of what I was saying would have (been) taken as a joke. #fail,” he tweeted.

Mohr, 43, offered a longer apology on his blog.

"I will not make excuses for what I said. Although I immediately removed that segment from my podcast, it still doesn't change the results. I know full well how much words can hurt people, having seen my wife get destroyed by the tabloids, and I am embarrassed that I didn't think before I spoke," he wrote. "Sometimes comedians go too far. I went too far. I cannot change what I said, but I can assure you that my heart is broken that I hurt her. I am very sorry."

“Apology accepted,” Milano responded on Twitter hilariously adding, “She grunts while aggressively yet cautiously prying off her head-to-toe Spanx.) #PassTheCookies"
