Jay Leno unharmed after scary rollover car crash

Car enthusiast Jay Leno was the passenger in a car that lost control and flipped over multiple times as cameras rolled for his CNBC show, “Jay Leno’s Garage.”

The incident occurred while the former late night host was filming this season’s debut episode with stunt driver Bob Riggle at Irwindale Speedway in California.

The 80-year-old stunt legend attempted to show off one of his best-known tricks when he drove the 2,500 horse power Hemi Under Glass car on its two back wheels, but the vehicle dramatically began to roll uncontrollably during the stunt.

As soon as the car landed, Riggle checked on a shaken Leno asking him, “Are you all right?”

Both men were unharmed and the engine was unscathed.

Leno managed to crack a joke as he exited the banged up car, saying, “Well, that was certainly exciting.”

Riggle, meanwhile, wasn’t looking forward to watching the footage with his wife.

“Wait until my wife sees this,” he said.

"Jay Leno's Garage" returns to CNBC on Wednesday.
