Single young women everywhere are rejoicing that Prince Harry is back on the market after word leaked this week of his split from girlfriend-of-two-years Cressida Bonas. Just weeks ago, the two were loving it up publicly, spurring rumors that an engagement might be imminent. Now, one source claims the 24-year-old blonde beauty was just “too needy” for the 29-year-old free-spirited royal, as reported by PEOPLE Magazine. Perhaps Bonas wasn’t ready to give up on her dancing ambitions for a highly-publicized life in Buckingham Palace quite yet. Before the doomed romance between Harry and Bonas, the prince was involved with another blonde. According to the Daily Mail, Harry dated Zimbabwe-born socialite and lawyer Chelsy Davy, who allegedly split with him in 2009 after “seven turbulent years.” The UK-based news site adds Davy ended the relationship because the constant spotlight was the “last thing she wanted.” On the other hand, she probably just became tired of his drunk-dialing, the transscripts of which were read aloud in court during a phone hacking trial in London earlier this year. However, there may have been more to this particular breakup. In 2009, The Telegraph revealed Harry wanted to focus on his helicopter pilot training with the Army Air Corps, prompting Davy to grow frustrated over their time apart.  But was Harry ever really over her?
