If Cheerleaders Had Playoffs

GAME 1: Philadelphia Eagles vs. New York Giants. The Eagles cheerleaders are a plucky bunch with big plans. They have their own 2009 calendar, and each cheerleader has her own introductory video on their website. We like their multimedia approach. (NFL.com)

GAME 1: Philadelphia Eagles vs. New York Giants. Eagles cheerleader Stephanie is a senior at the University of Delaware majoring in Nursing. This is her fourth year as an Eagles cheerleader. We like the stick-to-it-iveness that represents. (NFL.com)

GAME 1: Philadelphia Eagles vs. New York Giants. The Giants don't have cheerleaders. Which means Coach Tom Coughlin, as their biggest sideline supporter, is also their head cheerleader. To quote Charlie Brown in one of his many football disasters - AAAAAAAAAAAAAUUUUUUUUUUUGGGGGGGGGHHHH! WINNER: Eagles! (AP)

GAME 2: Arizona Cardinals vs. Carolina Panthers. The Cardinals cheerleaders have the advantage of working and practicing in a state that is over 90 degrees and sunny with absolutely no rain, 365 days a year. Big advantage. (NFL.com)

GAME 2: Arizona Cardinals vs. Carolina Panthers. Freshman Cardinals cheerleader Stephanie's favorite food is filet mignon, and she enjoys cooking, dancing, and, apparently, jumping really high and doing the splits at the same time. That looks really hard to do, so we're giving the team bonus points for degree of difficulty. (NFL.com)

GAME 2: Arizona Cardinals vs. Carolina Panthers. The Carolina Panthers' cheerleadres are called the TopCats. We like a squad with its own identity. (NFL.com)

GAME 2: Arizona Cardinals vs. Carolina Panthers. TopCat Kim likes popcorn, seafood, sushi and cereal, listens to music from the 70s and 80s, and her favorite quote is "To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment." Not quite sure what famous person said that, but she had us at sushi and cereal. WINNER: Carolina! (NFL.com)

GAME 3: San Diego Chargers vs. Pittsburgh Steelers. The Charger Girls are one of the most photographed squads in the NFL. Seriously. Go to NFL.com. Every other cheerleader photo is of a Charger Girl. (NFL.com)

GAME 3: San Diego Chargers vs. Pittsburgh Steelers. Summer is serving in her fourth year as a team captain, and represented the Chargers in the 2008 NFL All-Star week and Pro Bowl Game. She also manages a dental practice that saw production and profit margin increase by over 100 percent in 2008. Yes, we can see that happening. (NFL.com)

GAME 3: San Diego Chargers vs. Pittsburgh Steelers. What? Another team with no cheerleaders? Mike Tomlin does run up and down the sidelines waving his arms a lot, but come on Pittsburgh. Is it that cold up there? WINNER: Charger Girls! (AP)

GAME 4: Baltimore Ravens vs. Tennessee Titans. So the Ravens cheerleaders' short skirts weren't short enough? They had to add a slit, too? Hmmm, a bit excessive. (NFL.com)

GAME 4: Baltimore Ravens vs. Tennessee Titans. Ravens cheerleader Kate is also a first grade teacher! We don't remember our first grade teacher looking like that. (NFL.com)

GAME 4: Baltimore Ravens vs. Tennessee Titans. The Tennessee Titans cheerleading squad has the coolest outfits of the bunch, what with all of the flames and sparkly spangles. (NFL.com)

GAME 4: Baltimore Ravens vs. Tennessee Titans. Titans' cheerleader Ally's favorite TV show is "The Hills" and her favorite perfume is "Victoria Secret Sexy." Yes, they asked for her favorite perfume. WINNER: Titans! (NFL.com)
