Idris Elba says #MeToo movement is 'only difficult if you're a man with something to hide'

Idris Elba is being applauded for his commentary on the #MeToo movement.
When asked if it's hard being a man in Hollywood amid the movements against sexual harassment, sexual assault and sexual misconduct, he 2018 Sexiest Man Alive told The Sunday Times simply, "It's only difficult if you're a man with something to hide."
Pretty much all of Twitter immediately began swooning over the British hunk for his response, including Shonda Rhimes and former President Barack Obama adviser Valerie Jarrett:
However, not everyone was too optimistic about the actor's remarks and the effect they'd have on the movement as a whole.
Last year, while promoting "Molly's Game," Elba, 46, also voiced support for women in the Time's Up and #MeToo movements.
"This is a film that was made a year ago, and probably prepped two or three years ago, but to come out when it's coming out now is actually quite amazing — when we're seeing women stand up and have a liberation movement of speaking up against some their atrocities that has happened," he told Den of Geek.
Elba will next appear in "Cats" and "Fast and the Furious" spinoff "Hobbs and Shaw" in 2019 — and likely in the dreams of women everywhere tonight.
