There will be at least one familiar face at the "America's Got Talent" judges table when the reality competition returns next summer.
Howard Stern will be returning as a judge for the show's second season, the network announced Monday. The news comes months after judge Sharon Osbourne made it clear she would not be back.

Like Osbourne, Stern has had his issues with NBC. In August, Stern was formally reprimanded by the network for calling Jay Leno a "spineless maggot" on his radio show. But, despite the dustup, Stern made it clear he wanted to keep his judging position.
"I don't answer to anybody," he said. "Everybody knows that. That's part of the game. And that's why I'm a great f---ing judge. I will tell people if they suck."
Fall TV Scorecard: What's renewed/canceled?
The network has not made formal announcements about whether host Nick Cannon or third judge Howie Mandel are returning.
Auditions are currently underway for the new season, and will continue around the country through mid-January. The show will be back on the air next summer.
Are you pleased that Stern will be back?
