How Lisa Marie Presley Slimmed Down to Her 'Teenage Weight'
When rock royalty Lisa Marie Presley needed inspiration to lose weight and have a healthier lifestyle, she didn’t need to look far. The publication reports that after years of fad dieting, Presley made health a priority in 2012 when she began touring, prompting her to become more disciplined about her eating habits. Not only did she find a plan that works for her, but the results already show. “I’m at the weight I was at when I was a teenager,” she reveals. “I love the way clothes fit me now. Presley prefers fresh veggies, chicken, fish, nuts, fruits and almond milk, as well as freshly made juices. In addition, Presley practices portion control with everything she consumes throughout the day. “I eat half of what I am given, especially when I have carbs or grains,” she states. “I just had avocado with feta cheese on toast with some spinach. Last night I had vegetable chicken curry. I want the rice, obviously. I’ll have a fistful.” But eating healthier wasn’t the only thing that made this artist shed pounds quickly. While touring makes it difficult for her to exercise every day, she tries to squeeze in a quick workout session whenever possible. Presley says she prefers walking 30 minutes every other day, along with lifting light weights, usually with her husband of eight years, guitarist Michael Lockwood, for support. “I can’t always get off the bus and walk for 30 minutes,” she admits. “But the show is 90 minutes long and I’m constantly moving and my adrenaline is pumping, so I’m sure that is burning calories."
