Hollywood careers that went from white hot to lukewarm.
- Gary Busey Busey was nominated for an Oscar for "The Buddy Holly Story" in 1978. Then he became best known for his substance abuse issues. Now he is best know for his stints on "Celebrity Rehab" and "Celebrity Apprentice." In 2011 he was dumped from the movie "Mansion of Blood" after it had started filming. - Tara Reid The "American Pie" cutie should have followed the career path of "Pie" co-star Alyson Hannigan, who now stars on the hit sitcom "How I Met Your Mother." Instead, Reid became notorious for her partying and plastic surgery disasters. She appeared in the "Pie" reunion movie in 2012, but so far, that's about it. On the plus side, she nabbed Antonio Banderas, whose movie career is still rolling. For more pics of Melanie, go to x17online.com.read moreX17online.comShare
- Sharon Stone After a string of minor roles, Stone hit the big time with "Basic Instinct" in 1992. She was never able to follow up the film's incredible success, however, and her career eventually chilled. Most recently, she completed a four-episode arc on "Law and Order: SVU" and starred in a French film. Yes, a French film. (Reuters)read more
- Meg Ryan Before Kate Hudson and Reese Witherspoon, Meg Ryan was the go-to blonde for romantic comedies, with megahits including "Sleepless in Seattle" and "You've Got Mail."
